Warehouse Associate
POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate is a key member of the team that is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and delivery schedules. Their duties include receiving materials, loading orders on and off of trucks, organizing incoming stock, performing rip ups and making deliveries to job sites.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Collecting merchandise from incoming trucks and safely transporting materials to shipping bay using a forklift or carpet boom
• Receiving and documenting new merchandise from delivery
• Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notifying supervisor
• Keeping an inventory of current and existing materials in warehouse
• Ensuring that all merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping
• Managing all merchandise with appropriate care
• Prepping job sites for new materials
• Assisting rip up crews with demo and prep
• Assisting customers, installers and builders with material pick up
• Answering phone and communicating with showroom staff and whole sale distributors
• Maintain professional relationships with home owners, business owners, builders, and worksite team members
• Operating forklift and carpet boom

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Forklift operation
• Valid driver's license and good driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment 50 plus LBS
• Able to work in the heat
• Position will require travel to and from multiple projects in shared company vehicle

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
