Job description
Primary Purpose: Responsible for moving and staging materials efficiently and timely
for manufacturing and warehouse operations. Maintain accurate inventory records during movement of materials throughout the facility.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Recv / Shipping
1. Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards
2. Remove materials from production for storage and for orders.
3. Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products
4. Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them
5. Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery
Inventory Accuracies
1. Move and rearrange inventory as instructed for consolidation, organization and efficiency.
2. Move new materials and inventory into proper stock locations
3. Use RF Scanners to move inventory to and from locations throughout the facility.
4. Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory accuracies
5. Perform and report cycle counts
6. Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed
7. Document orders, materials and any stock movements
Staging of Materials.
Qualifications & Skills Required. <p><!-- x-tinymce/html-mce_34813579421675695571756 --></p> <p>Materials Handler Requirements but not limited to:</p> <p>•  Minimum 1-year experience (3 years preferred) warehouse experience as “Owner” of area</p> <p>•  Excellent communication skills.</p> <p>•  Strong organization and documentation skills.</p> <p>•  Strong research and analytical skills.</p> <p>•  Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets</p> <p>•  Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be beneficial</p> <p>•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs</p> <p>•  Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, reach daily and as needed to perform all job functions</p> <p>•  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment</p> <p>•  Must be able to work in a team as well as independently</p> <p>•  Perform different job functions within the organizations warehouse department</p> <p>•  Must be able to follow procedures, best practices and report unsafe and unprofessional behavior</p> <p>•  Prepare reports and updates as and when required</p> <p>Other duties assigned by Management</p>

Other duties assigned by Management
1. Supply manufacturing with materials on a demand basis.
2. Stage dry / wet items for production team consumption
All other:
1. Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and complete functions assigned
2. Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
3. Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures
4. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment to move freight
5. Responsible for conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Harrisonburg SQF Systems manual. Must report any and all deviations to a member of management and QA, and set product aside until further instructed.
