WAREHOUSE / FORKLIFT OPERATOR – MUST HAVE REFRIGERATED / FREEZER FOOD EXP

Days and Nights Work Schedules available: Shift and Schedule may vary, some may include weekends.

Job Description:

Sunland Distribution is looking for experienced forklift operators / warehouse dock workers that can operate both sit down and stand up forklift equipment for our Waverly, FL warehouse location.

MUST have 2-4 years of recent or current forklift experience.

Job Summary:

Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing refrigerated foods, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders and organizing warehouse.

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist shipping and receiving with loading/unloading trucks

• Sort product(s) and hand stack when necessary

• Operate a sit down and stand up forklift a MUST-candidates will be tested for experience level

• Pallet jack experience a plus

• Wear proper safety equipment

• Maintain safe and clean work environment keeping all shelves, pallet areas and work stations neat.

• Organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness at all times

• Experience with yard dog / switcher is a PLUS

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

• 2-4 years food warehouse experience

• 2-4 years sit down forklift experience

• Dependable and reliable

• Inventory, data entry and computer skills may be required

• Yard Dog / Switcher experience - is a PLUS

Physical demands and abilities:

• Regularly lift 60-70 lbs.

• Be able to work in a multi temperature cold / freezer storage warehouse

• Be able to work in all temperature environments

• Be able to sit, stand, bend, lift for prolonged time periods

Days (Fri-Tue w/ Sat-Sun 4am-to finish; Fri, Mon-Tue 8am-5pm)

Nights (Sun-Fri 6pm-to finish)

Pay rate is dependent on experience.
