The Line Auditor is responsible in the final preparation and inspection of all products staged and assembled for the next day’s shipment and to ensure that all items need is present, in the proper staging location, and are properly labeled/tagged for shipment.

This includes but is not limited to ensuring all items are staged and present as per that Route’s daily manifest, further ensuring all the items that need assembled have been built to standard and all others that need unpacked/unboxed/inspected have been and any deficiencies noted and referred to either a Craftsman or the Outbound Supervisor/Manager for final determination and/or disposition and to assist in the replacement of all items that have been determined to be unsuitable for shipment (OCD items).

They are also to ensure that all parts are present for any items that need to be built by the delivery team are present and time/resources permitting, partially unwrap and inspect upholstery items for any defects prior to loading/shipment.

Once this is accomplished, they are responsible that all unneeded/cancelled items/orders are removed and that all items are properly tagged with shipping labels.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Become proficient in the staging, assembly, unboxing, and preparation of product prior to shipment.
  • Performs Lane audit(s) to ensure all items that are needed are picked and staged and those items that require assembly and/or inspection are properly prepared and reviewed.
  • Informs, Coordinates, and monitors the repair and/or replacement of all products that are determined to not meet quality standards for shipment and to assist in their replacement.(Process OCD’s)
  • Ensure that all needed items and parts are on-hand for those items to be built/assembled by the delivery team on-site.
  • To assist in the removal of all cancelled items from the staging lanes.
  • Prepares, prints, and applies all labels to all items that are to be loaded/shipped

Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to inspect and determine the suitability of all products for shipment
  • Identify and coordinate with the Shop to repair/ and or replace defective/damaged product.
  • Ability to use computer and software packages (MS Office, STORIS, Teams, etc.)in furtherance of the company’s goals and objectives.

WORKPLACE ENVIROMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

· Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring

· Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds

· Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
