Warehouse Manager
This well-reputed & established distribution company now has a requirement for a Warehouse Manager for their site in Dublin West. An excellent working environment is on offer, along with an excellent package. The ideal candidate for this role is a proven Warehouse Manager with excellent people-management skills overseeing a large team and well versed in modern HR techniques including team engagement and motivation tools.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Process Management:
- Ensure Warehouse operatives follow operational processes and procedures, comply with Company policies and work effectively as a team; review and address any performance issues highlighted by the wider Management Team. Promote a strong working relationship and effective communications with other senior management in the organisation to ensure workflow priorities are executed in an optimal manner.
People Management:
- Ensure staff follow Company Policies and Procedures, communicate effectively with staff as directed by the Managing Director.
- Conduct competency & efficiency reviews for all staff in line with policy. Manage appraisal plans & performance improvement plans.
- Ensure productivity KPI targets are consistently achieved across the warehouse team.
- Address staff grievances and any disciplinary matters in line with policy. Absence management in line with policy.
- Responsible for all warehouse recruitment.
- Ensure adequate skillset exists across all warehouse functions; identify knowledge gaps and promote internal training where relevant and necessary.
- Lead, develop and manage key roles on the warehouse team; Warehouse supervisors, despatch, stock control, goods in & order pickers.
- Work with the team in scheduling the workload and in rostering the staff for the business peaks and summer holiday period
Facility Management:
- Arrange for the provision, maintenance, and repair of equipment in line with policy;
- Ensure an excellent standard of housekeeping is maintained throughout the facility.
Minimum Requirements and skills:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role overseeing a large team in a Distribution/Pick & Pack environment.
- Strong people management, organizational & interpersonal skills.
- Background knowledge of HR & employment law.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
- Third-level qualification would be desirable.
- The ability to work well under pressure, delegate and effective time management are all key skills for this role
Terms: Full-time, Permanent (Standard Mon-Fri office hours)
Salary: Circa €50-€60,000 basic annual salary + package
