Job Summary

The role entails performing work activity across all areas within the Warehouse function to deliver excellent service to internal partners and meet customer commitments.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Transacting, storing, and moving material as per Company processes and procedures.
• Picking materials per production schedule requirements and delivering to the production lines providing an excellent service to support production in terms of timeliness, reliability, and flexibility.
• Receipting of goods in and checking the delivery on the basis of the accompanying documentation.
• Communicating with other departments and providing product information to support logistics scheduling.
• Packing product to the required format as per shipping schedules, processing dispatch paperwork and accompanying documentation.
• Carrying out stock take, cycle counts and stock maintenance measures.
• Observe and maintain the basic principles regarding health and safety protection at work, complying with all PPE, Environmental health and safety, and training requirements.
• Actively participate in health and safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintaining good level of housekeeping.
• Other duties, areas of responsibility as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Ability to read and understand paperwork is essential and a good eye for detail
• Capability to work as part of a team and customer-oriented manner, and the ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to operate warehouse vehicles and work at heights.
• Flexibility is essential as this position will require overtime as business needs dictate and at times may require shift patterns (day/evening cycles).

Education and Experience

• Previous experience of warehousing is highly desirable preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience and a forklift license are desirable.
• Must be computer literate.
• Possess excellent numeric skills.
