Job Summary

· Moves, locates, relocates, stacks and counts stock with the assistance of a forklift, clamp truck and/or other power equipment.

General Accountabilities

· Unloads inbound shipments and loads outbound shipments safely and efficiently.

· Moves materials in and out of storage locations accurately and without damage to items.

· Moves materials from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers and/or other transport vehicles.

· Stacks and stages materials; fills orders.

· Pulls and prepares materials for shipment.

· Maintains equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.

· Inspects and performs minor maintenance on power equipment.

· Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner per company policies.

· Keeps well-organized records and reports; maintains clean, neat and orderly work area.

· Ensures proper stock rotation.

· Inventory system management with SAP.

· Scheduling outbound shipping.

· Complies with all safety rules.

· Performs minor repairs on equipment, as needed.

· Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

· Assist Production Manager as needed

Job Qualifications

· Ability to operate a forklift, clamp lift and pallet jack

· Previous working experience in the food industry is a plus

Physical Demands

· Occasionally required to sit, walk, use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; bend, lift or climb

· Occasionally required to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater).

· Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.

· Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.

Work Environment

· Exposure to adverse conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions.

· Exposure to moving mechanical parts.

· Exposure to high, precarious places.

· Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.

· Possible risk of electrical shock

· Protective clothing or equipment is required including: gloves, hair nets, steel-toed boots, protective eyewear.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
