Stantec along with joint venture partner Ryan Hanley, are excited to have been appointed to the Irish Water Engineering Design Services Framework. The Joint Venture will support Irish Water’s Business Plan objectives up to 2027, which will see a €3.5bn investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.

This exciting portfolio, along with the work done supporting a number of major water frameworks throughout the UK, offers our employees the opportunity to tackle a range of challenging projects.

In the past 12 months, in addition to delivering capital schemes, our teams have collaborated with Irish Water senior leadership, reviewing and supporting their strategy across a number of functional areas by offering strategic operational, behavioural and change management advice.

Following recent bidding success, the Stantec Urban Drainage team has commenced hydraulic modelling of several sewerage systems for Irish Water. As joint partner in the “Ryan Hanley Stantec” JV, we will provide expertise on the recently secured Longford, Navan, Balbriggan Drainage Area Plans.

The commission will last for approximately 4 years and will be delivered from our Dublin office, with support from across our wider UK & Ireland teams. In line with this and other ongoing projects, we are looking for Wastewater Network Modellers to join the team.

You will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team made up of 80 personnel from Stantec, across our UK & Ireland offices and a team in Pune, along with our clients and consultant/contractor partners, collaborating to deliver projects throughout the UK & Ireland.

This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative team of engineers, working on specialist modelling frameworks whilst contributing to industry leading projects.

About You.

To be considered for this role, you will have experience with urban drainage modelling software and wastewater feasibility studies. You must be degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or another relevant subject. You must also be working towards chartership with a relevant engineering institution i.e. Engineers Ireland, CIWEM, ICE. Working knowledge of ICM and GIS tools will be beneficial to succeed in this role.

For Senior positions, you will have already achieved your Chartership, while Principal modellers will be expected to have experience leading project delivery and mentoring junior staff.
