Our Arlington, VA office is seeking a Project Engineer with experience in water and/or sewer pipelines for large diameter assets as well as small diameter networks. In this position, you will work alongside other professional engineers on Water and Wastewater projects in the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland areas.

Responsibilities include:
  • Planning, design and execution aspects of pipe replacement, pipe rehabilitation, and condition assessment projects, including report writing, development of design plans and cost estimates, hydraulic evaluations, and development of permit applications.
  • Hydraulic modeling and distribution system evaluation
  • Experience using GIS.
  • Coordination with CADD technicians.
  • Client interaction
  • Experience with distribution system operations a plus

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required; M.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering a plus.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in pipeline projects – planning, design, execution, and cost estimation, and/or pipeline rehabilitation and replacement projects, and/or pipeline condition assessment projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including technical report writing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6, and GIS software. Knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software a plus but not needed.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, State of Maryland and/or Washington DC, or have the ability to obtain within 12 months of employment
