Job description

Welder responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· With more than 3 years welding experience, keywords are GMAW, MIG, FCAW, Flux Core, GTAW, TIG, and fit-up; “welder helper” or “welder assistant” doesn’t count for this position

· With relatively complete answers and some elaboration about their previous work experience – this tells me how well they pay attention to detail, follow instructions, and how much they care other’s perception of them

· With preferably more than one year at their previous employers – it takes upwards of 6 months or more to properly train a welder, I don’t want to invest time in someone that’s going to look for greener pastures after they’re done training

· With drawing/blueprint/print/spec/standard interpretation experience

· NYSSCM, NYS, NYC, D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.4, D1.5, and/or D1.6 certification is a plus

· English or English with Spanish languages preferred

· “welder helper” or “welder assistant” does not count for this position

Preferred skills and/or willingness to learn:

· Forklift operator

Job type: Full time: 7 am to 3:30 pm

Pay: $18.50 - $21 per hour
