Role responsibilities:

• Assist clients with wellness routines such as light exercise and mindfulness activities like reading.
• Create opportunities to connect and socialize over a good meal.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene for clients and those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication, as needed.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, shopping, etc.)
• Assist with daily household chores, like laundry and dishes, to help bring peace of mind and comfort to our clients.
• Provide our clients and their beloved pets with a helping hand.
• Be proactive in preventing harmful falls or other injuries by maintaining a clean environment, removing tripping hazards, helping our clients with mobility, and keeping the environment as safe as possible.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Update care logs with mobile app or computer

Required Qualifications

• Reliable and dependable - able to commit to clients, arrive on time, and proactively communicate any needs or issues
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting
• Access to smart phone and able navigate our apps
• Eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Willingness to comply with health and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and exercise
• Prior experience in a service field such as education, healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
