GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Assists the General Manager in managing the operations and staff of a restaurant, including the execution of all Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems. Participates in achievement of restaurant objectives. Ensures ethical business practices. Each person who holds this position is expected to “Delight Every Customer.”
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
5 – Star Talent
- Executes the restaurant's Human Resource programs for crew employees. Manages restaurant culture to maximize retention. Work with Training Restaurant Manager/General Manager to achieve proper staffing levels. Creates and executes recruiting plan. Advocates the company Open Door Policy and Speak Out process.
- Provides proper training for Shift Supervisors and Crew Members through established systems and follows through to ensure compliance with Company standards.
- Calibrates on identification of Crew who are interested and able to promote into Management. Trains and develops candidates to ensure success at promotion.
- Ensures proper execution of and compliance with Company policies and procedures on assigned shifts. Anticipates and identifies problems and initiates appropriate corrective action.
“A Cut Above” Customer Experience
- Trains, monitors, and reinforces food safety procedures to Crew Members. Ensures all food safety procedures are executed according to Company policies and health/sanitation regulations; initiates corrective actions, as appropriate.
- Manages, directs, and monitors Shift Supervisors and Crew Members to achieve “A” level operations on the OE and to support total store cleanliness on assigned shifts.
- Must be able to react to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
Growth and Profit
- Works with restaurant management team to meet sales goals versus budget and prior year, including participation in local store marketing programs. Executes appropriate plans to resolve unfavorable trends and enhance sales.
- Manages food, labor, and paper costs and other controllable expenses. Work with restaurant management team to meet profit objectives.
- Executes Company policies and procedures for the control of cash, property, product, and equipment. Monitors inventory levels to ensure product availability and orders product. Manages and maintains safe working conditions. Ensures execution of preventative maintenance.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
18 years old or older
Experience:
Minimum 6 months experience in the restaurant industry.
Other:
- Ability to learn and apply the standard operating procedures of the Company.
- Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly.
- Must be able to take direction and work well with others.
- Ability to learn and apply HR Policies and Procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in Supervisory practices.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete recommended training programs such as Serve Safe and Phase Training.
- Able to achieve Serve Safe certification

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
