Azure Cloud Administrator (Windows Server Admin)

Remote USA - But willing to work in EST & CST zone

• The role carries responsibility of Azure Cloud administration & management of Windows Server infrastructure, OS management and Azure Networking.
• Bachelors Degree with 10 + years of relevant Windows Admin work experience.
• Az-104 Certification

Mandatory Skills:

• Architect and develop customer solutions based on current hands-on knowledge of Azure Cloud Microsoft Server OS and Hyper-V product line, storage, networking, management, and associated customer business processes.
• 10+ Years of hands-on experience in Windows Server 2012 ,2016 and 2019
• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Administration
• Strong Knowledge in Azure Administrators “implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, security and other Iaas Services
• Skilled in Azure PaaS – Azure functions, Logic Apps, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure AD, Azure Recovery Services, Azure Databricks, APIM, Azure ADF, Azure Synapse, key Vault, App services, Azure Load Balancers, Azure Storage, Azure SQL
• Skilled in Microsoft IIS, DNS and Active directory
• Skilled in Virtualization Platform - VMWare & Hyper-V
• Good Knowledge in DevOps Tools like Terraform and Jenkins and GitHub and Kubernetes
• Good Knowledge in Monitoring tools like – SolarWinds and Nagios
• Skilled in SCOM & SCCM Platform and WSUS Windows Patching
• Skilled Microsoft Windows Cluster
• Commitment to continual development of technical skillsets and knowledge sharing
• Demonstrated knowledge with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP protocols and RAID and SFTP and SSH
• Support physical and virtual servers, enterprise backup system, app servers, and enterprise storage systems
• Demonstrated DFS, DFRS, LUN’s enlargements, LUN’s migration and File Share clusters and standalone file share infrastructure
• Demonstrated knowledge with Windows Servers, Server Operations, Server applications
• Demonstrated knowledge with both physical and virtualized servers on VMware & Hyper-V
• Demonstrated knowledge on HA and DRS environment
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Demonstrated competencies with PCs and associated software
• Must be customer service oriented
• Hands on experience on AD, OU, Group Policy on Windows Server
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Must be able to respond to system outages during off-hours.
• Advanced trouble shooting skills and identify the severity of the issue, Ability to Resolving issues quickly to account/customer satisfaction and Prepare RCA

Good to have skills:

• Microsoft Certification required for OS
• Knowledge in Power Shell
• Thorough knowledge on ITIL framework and Certification

Main responsibilities:

• Perform Azure Cloud and Server environment implementation and steady state maintenance.
• To standardize and stabilize the process.
• Ensure to follow ITIL framework for management processes
• Strong Knowledge in Azure Administrators “implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, security and other Iaas Services
• Ensures server performance and maintains applications on servers
• Problem solving and documentation of current and new servers in both physical and virtual environments
• Performs and oversees continuous system health checks, user administration, and application of patches and upgrades
• Performs data management services, server tuning, and directory services maintenance
• Increase reliability and enhance efficiencies by implementing 3rd party tools and scripts
• Windows server inventory management (Add/Change/Delete Configuration Item in the database, i.e. Owner, Tier, Service/Support group, EOL’s)

Job Description:

• Ensures compliance to security standards, policies and guidelines
• Provides business continuity through thorough back-up and restore procedures, and periodic testing of outage scenarios
• Administers and maintains a Windows based server network, with a combination of physical and virtual servers
• Datacenter migration support
• Configures and maintains Microsoft SCCM & SCOM applying application patches and updates, facilitating service request fulfilment, and safeguarding client data
• Installs, configures, and troubleshoots group policy and administrative templates
• Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains servers & server-based applications
• Server audit & administration – access to users, event log and health check logs
• Basic Knowledge to Microsoft file cluster, SQL database server and IIS servers are required
