Job description

SUMMARY

Performs wiring, assembling and soldering operations on a variety of product parts, sub-assemblies and electrical chassis following instructions, prototype or sample and using standard methods and procedures. Dresses wires, follows color code in fastening, solders connections and cleans. May perform other duties under direction such as repair returned assemblies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembly of electrical chassis.

Wire electrical chassis and panels.

Route and terminate wire and cables in machines as needed.

Perform tasks assigned accurately and in a timely manner.

Keep accurate logs of hours for assigned tasks if necessary.

Keep work area clean with safety issues in mind.

Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Able to read and understand assembly drawings and electrical schematics.

Supply own basic hand tools.

Able to use a variety of crimp tools effectively.

Perform alternate tasks after training that may not be related to electrical.

Able to work and communicate well with others in organization.

Proficient with soldering iron.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may require local travel. Work may require evening and weekend work.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
