Women's Basketball Assistant Coach
Job description
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is seeking a Women's Basketball Assistant Coach. The Women's Basketball Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach and will assist in the planning and administration of all phases of the Division I program. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the goals and objectives of the SIUE Division I athletic program
- Assisting the Head Coach with organization of practices, recruitment, team travel, scouting, fund raising, academics, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach
- Complying with University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations
- Working cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel
- Supporting the student-athlete concept and demonstrating concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete
- Additional duties as assigned

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Evidence of sound organizational and communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public
- Four years collegiate playing experience or combination of college and professional playing experience
- One year of Division I collegiate coaching experience or two or more years of collegiate coaching experience at the Division II, Division III, NAIAor NJCAA level.
- Two years of professional playing experience can substitute for one year of collegiate coaching experience.
Division I coaching experience is preferred
