ABC11/WTVD, the ABC Owned Television station in Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville, North Carolina has an immediate opening for the position of Live Newscast Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directing live local newscasts, streaming news programs and taped special programs using the Ross-Overdrive production system

• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of three years’ experience directing live linear newscasts using automated production systems (i.e., Ross Overdrive, robotic cameras) or equivalent work experience

• Experience setting up microphones, pre-fades, IFB 's etc. for live studio and field productions

• Thorough knowledge of automated television production systems

• Thorough knowledge of studio and field video and audio production

• Thorough of video and audio servers, graphics systems

• Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• High School Diploma

PREFERRED EDUCATION

• College Degree or Technical School Diploma
