Youth Mentor - Day Shift
Residential Treatment Facility located in Lake Ozark, Missouri This is NOT a remote position
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Shift: 12 Hour shift (3 On/4 Off)(4 On-3Off) Wednesday is the alternating day

Our ideal candidate is dependable, empathetic, and excited to play a front-line role in creating secure attachment experiences for our students.
Whether overseeing residential chores, helping students train their golden retrievers in our canine therapy program, or collaborating with team therapists to assist in students’ progress, your consistent, compassionate presence will be a powerful agent of change in their lives.
- Ensure all students have finished their assigned chores–including cleaning of the team home–and taken care of their personal hygiene
- Exhibit patience and calm under pressure
- Hold firm boundaries with students
- Demonstrate empathy and caring
- Form a bond with students based on trust
- Encourage fun in our “Milieu” (an atmosphere largely devoid of negative influences) where students learn socialization skills
- Work as part of a team to help students move toward healing
- Accompany students on outings and Adventure Therapy
- Participate in animal-assisted therapy that emulates the human foster/adoption process and teaches caring and healthy attachment
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 Years of Age or Older
- Able to pass State and Federal background checks
- Good attendance record
- Loves Golden Retrievers–they are literally everywhere on our campus!
