Youth Sports Director/Camp

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Sports Director to oversee our youth programming at our indoor sports facility in Saco, ME. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive and safe environment for children to learn and play various sports. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring that all programs are running efficiently and effectively, while also promoting growth and development within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure that all programs are safe, fun, and age-appropriate, while also promoting a clear pathway between our Mini Sports Academy and our Youth Development programs.

- Recruit, train, and manage coaches and staff members to ensure that all programs run smoothly and efficiently while being available to coach when necessary.

- Provide consistent marketing for the programs inline with the company’s current strategies and provide input and recommendations for growth and improvement.

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, community members, and local schools to promote participation in our programs.

- Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of programs to management, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

- Respond to inquiries and concerns from parents and participants in a timely and professional manner.

- Be fluent in product knowledge for the whole facility, and be able to successfully provide recommendations to customers based on what we offer.

- Take registrations during office hours and assist in booking rentals and parties.

- Advocate and market the facility outside of the building and aid in growing its reputation.

- Create and generate new ideas for programs and ways to bring in revenue- Assist the GM in any other areas of the facility that needs help.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, recreation, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum three years’ experience managing youth sports programs, preferably in an indoor sports facility.

- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong attention to detail.

- Knowledge of a variety of sports and coaching techniques, with the ability to develop and implement programs for children of all ages and skill levels.

- Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
