Peabody Public Schools is seeking a full-time 1:1 Registered Nurse to work within the public school system and perform nursing services necessary to ensure the health, safety and access to curriculum of a medically complex student. General duties include, but are not limited to: ongoing health assessment; medical treatment and health counseling; medication administration; development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of individualized medication administration care plans and individualized health care plans; collaboration with other health care providers and school personnel regarding the health of the student assigned; providing emergency care to the assigned student ; supporting the maintenance of comprehensive school health records for the student assigned; personal care assistance may include toileting or catheterization; supporting physical transfer with hoyer lift; support curriculum access duties to ensure academic access.

The chosen applicant may be required to supervise the student during transportation to and from school.

Minimum requirements:

• 
  Current R.N. license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing required.

• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing preferred.

• Two years of experience in school health, family practice, community health or pediatrics preferred.

• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

Pay rate depends on qualifications and credentials. 1:1 nurses work the public school schedule with extended days when transportation supports are required, including up to one week before the school session (185 days)
