Supervisor Job Description:
A Supervisor will be responsible for providing and supervising in-home services to children with developmental disabilities, under the management of the Clinical Director. The Supervisor is responsible for the same duties as the technician, while also responsible for supervising behavioral technicians and their cases, as well as transitioning/overseeing cases for new technicians.
Experience: At least two years of practice implementing behavioral services, and good understanding of ABA strategies/methodologies. The Supervisor should also possess the following skills:
- Maintain a professional demeanor, be well organized, and pay attention to detail.
- Maintain professional boundaries, professional composure, and work well under pressure.
- Have excellent time management skills and knowledge of area conducting services.
- Must be able to serve culturally and linguistically diverse families in low and high SES areas.
- Must be comfortable working in homes (studio apartments, housing projects, etc.) of families with limited resources.
- Courteously interact with individuals and families who may be uncooperative.
- Maintain professionalism if and when a client aggresses, self-injures, tantrums, screams, etc. Implement behavior modification strategies and teaching under agency supervision.
- Accept, follow, and implement direction from organization representatives.
- Be creative, spontaneous, motivated, and animated in your gestures, facial expressions, and voice interactions.
- Must have a telephone and reliable method to record scheduled appointments and return phone calls within 24 hours.
- Must have reliable transportation and current liability insurance for the vehicle.
- Must stand, sit, twist, kneel, bend-over, crouch down, walk, and sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Meet with each family weekly for supervision of each case to ensure that the behavioral program is being implemented effectively and accurately by the behavioral technician. This includes:
- Reviewing data and session notes during supervision overlap, ensuring data is collected for all targets, and checking for accuracy of dates/data.
- Ensuring technician filling in the program checklist using the accurate and appropriate percentages throughout each session.
- Checking for mastery of goals and introduction of new programs into the program list for each individual case, reviewing and modifying behavioral program goals, as needed.
- Ensuring at least one parent is participating during sessions, so that they understand the program goals/ABA techniques and strategies that are being utilized.
- Addressing any parent’s questions/concerns; being proactive to foresee any potential issues that may arise.
- Ensure technician is calculating statistical information of data collected, graphing, analyzing, and summarizing behavioral data for each month (submitting excel spreadsheet to lead by 3rd of each month).
- Stock/make materials as needed (PECS books, visual schedules, etc.) If needed, provide direct service as instructed by Clinical Director for the predetermined duration of instructional session.
- Input monthly summaries on web portal for insurance clients and/or write progress reports for other clients 30 days prior to the end of authorization period.
- Work with families and scheduling team to ensure that authorized hours for each client are scheduled and met at 95-100% every month, inputting client’s schedules work and extending them out for the full authorization period, and communicating with families/admin team for any scheduling changes needed.
- Attend one-on-one meetings with Clinical Director and Supervision team.
- Attend quarterly staff meetings and professional development meetings.
- Report any incidents and communications from the parents to the Clinical Director/Admin team.
- Attend to other duties assigned and/or approved by the Clinical Director and/or Executive Director.

Qualifications
- Master's (Required)
- Spanish (Preferred)
Requirements:
- Must hold a Master's Degree in ABA - or be in the process of completing a Master's Degree in ABA.
- At least 1 year of ABA supervisory experience, including experience with extremely challenging/aggressive behaviors; experience with all age ranges preferred
- Experience managing staff
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a TB test
- Reliable means of transportation with active auto insurance
