As an Agency Compensation Accountant, you'll administer compensation and bonus programs for Career Representatives and Farm Bureaus, as well as perform in-depth analysis of compensation questions and coordinate resolutions. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects by developing and coordinating test plans/cases and system testing to ensure all requirements are met. Utilizing your understanding of the Companies' systems and processes, recommend improvements to departmental operations, systems and controls.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.

How does an Agency Compensation Accountant make an impact?

• Under general supervision, oversee compensation plans/systems and assists with all related programs and systems. Apply knowledge of compensation systems and databases and agents’ agreements and commission schedules to develop business and testing requirements on projects, as well as to analyze test results. Ensure compensation processes are completed accurately within expected deadlines and adhere to defined accounting and control guidelines.
• Apply understanding and interpretation of contractual provisions, federal and state regulations, company guidelines, and distribution hierarchies to provide subject matter expertise to internal and external clients on complex issues. Maintain field compensation records in accordance with company guidelines.
• Oversee processes and applicable procedures on assigned account reconciliations. Review and approve assigned journal entries. Train, coach and develop other team members as directed.
