Purpose of the Position

As part of the TLS team, the Accounting Coordinator will perform day-to-day general bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities required of the company.

The location of the position is in Rochester, NY.

Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Process daily transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing.
  • Perform basic financial duties, such as processing checks, wires and general entries.
  • Analyze accounts for accuracy.
  • Interact with customers and vendors to resolve concerns and payment issues.
  • Assist in financial reporting, such as monthly and annual financial statements, KPSs and departmental spending.
  • Perform miscellaneous job duties, as assigned.
  • Work under time constraints; multi-task and solve issues.
  • Work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency to meet needs of customers to result in timely payments.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Outlook, WORD)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as procedure manuals, routine reports, correspondence.
  • Experience with Syteline or similar ERP program.

In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

Physical Activities:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary .

Experience:

Minimum 5 year of experience in a similar and progressive position.


Education:

High School Graduate: Secondary Education Preferred

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work under time constraints, to multitask, and to solve problems
  • Must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate detailed information effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Strong sense of urgency to meet the needs of customers to result in timely payment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, routine reports and correspondence
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Process oriented
  • Microsoft Excel, WORD, Outlook
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, preferably Syteline
