Position Summary

Performs data entry, research of payments, files, compiles, and maintains accounts payable records accurately. You will be responsible in performing clerical, administrative, and accounting assignments for the assigned area of responsibility.

Essential Accountabilities

• To work safely in a complex industrial environment with high heat, pressure, and moving equipment
• Interact productively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization, production team members, peers, engineering, quality, sales, administration, and senior leadership
• Understand, display, and champion the CORE Values of JSW Steel USA
• Reviews all invoices for correct documentation and approval prior to payment
• Data entry of invoices for payment as assigned
• Manage weekly check runs, prepares checks and back-up for files, and distributes checks
• Communicates with vendors and staff concerning vendor questions or payments
• Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate AP files
• Responsible for accurate and timely month-end close tasks as assigned
• Assembles and processes overnight shipments to designated locations
• Performs filing, copying, and scanning as assigned
• Reconcile accounts as assigned as assigned
• Provide quality customer service to all departments servicing
• Additional duties may be added as needed

Key Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Two years of AP experience in an accounting department preferred
• Knowledge of accounts payable. Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills
