The National Treatment Purchase Fund “NTPF” is a corporate body with functions and responsibilities as set out under Statutory Instrument 179 - National Treatment Purchase Fund (Establishment) Order, 2004.
The Role
The role of the Administrator (Grade IV) is to support their designated team by providing effective and efficient administrative support, and to actively contribute to the work of the team in delivering on its functions and roles.
Two immediately available positions, one each in ICT and Corporate Services. Further appointments from the panel may be made across the organisation.
ICT Department
The ICT Team supports the to collection, collation and reporting of hospital waiting list numbers through its work on the data collected and ensuring the availability, security and confidentiality of the ICT systems.
Corporate Services Unit
The Corporate Services Team provides support to the organisation by ensuring that corporate operations, structures, processes and systems are in place to support the organisation to deliver on its Statutory Functions. Activities in the area include reception, procurement, HR, facilities and health and safety.
Audit and Quality Assurance Unit
The Audit and Quality Assurance Team supports the organisation to deliver on one of its function to “collect, collate and validate hospital waiting list data” through the delivery of audit programmes on public/voluntary hospital waiting lists to ensure that waiting list data submissions to the NTPF are in compliance with reporting requirements.
Commissioning Unit
The Commissioning Team works to arrange patient hospital treatments for those on hospital waiting lists in Public and Private Hospitals.
Validation Unit
The national administrative validation function works closely with the HSE, Hospital Groups and individual hospitals to provide a national administrative validation process for patients on hospital waiting lists.
Process Innovation Unit
The Process Innovation Unit leads the NTPF’s work in delivering on a series of new, large-scale health sector changes and process improvement initiatives through system wide engagement.
Nursing Home Support Unit
The NTPF has functions under the Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal) to negotiate and agreeing maximum prices with private and voluntary nursing home owners throughout the country.
An Administrators Officer Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure effective day-to-day administrative support to the assigned Directorate including:
- o organising and attending meetings
- o organising logistics and travel arrangements
- o monitoring unit emails
- o calendar and diary management
- o document management, version control and quality checks.
- Contribute as part of a high-functioning team, with parallel initiatives and competing priorities.
- To ensure that the activities of the NTPF’s roles provides value for money and that the activities are carried out with fairness, transparency, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in the development and delivery of training and development programmes.
- To compile, analyse and reports on the activities, outcomes and key issues arising from this role.
- Maintain confidentiality and a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Provide cover for other team administrators in their absence.
- Any other role or responsibility which may be assigned by the NTPF.
