SUNY Delhi is seeking a highly energetic, engaging, and dynamic self-starter to join the Admissions staff as an Admissions Advisor.
The Admission Assistant will report directly to the Director of Admissions and will required a full understanding and knowledge within all enrollment management procedures, policies and recruitment methods to achieve higher enrollment objectives for each recruitment cycle. This position will be required to be able to provide details and information on all undergraduate programs, curriculums, financial services, athletic programs and information on residence hall programs to any prospective student. This position must be able to conduct extensive regional travel to wide range of high schools, BOCES facilities and community colleges within a defined region. The Admission Assistant's position will be based in the SUNY Delhi Enrollment Management Offices, Delhi NY.
Job Responsibilities:
- Will be directly responsible for the New York State Capital district region and will actively recruit both 1st year incoming students along with transfer students for each term.
- Attend all types of regional recruitment events, such as high school events, college fairs, SUNY Systems enrollment programs, and managing local recruitment events sponsored by SUNY Delhi.
- Achieve all yearly inquiries, applications, accepts, deposits and newly enrolled student forecast objectives and goals.
- Utilize different type of email campaigns, text messages, outreach phone calls, and targeted social media to engage with prospective students through the enrollment funnel for each term.
- Review, process and complete inbound applications to produce higher yields and conversion for applications, accepts, newly and deposited students.
- Understand and utilize on a daily basis a CRM System (Slate) to maximize processing and developing prospective student data, information and tracking reports.
- Build partnerships with both high school and college counselors to gain access to more students and assist in cultivating a wider reach of prospective junior and senior students.
- Create and manage recruitment schedules and regional programs, plus prepare travel itineraries and submit to management.
- Be involved with day-to-day admissions operational aspects, such as entering, maintaining and updating applicant data, input information, conducting phone call outreach, and working on joint direct mail campaigns, plus be able to conduct enrollment management presentations, and assisting in campus tours.
- Provide constant feedback and communications to all levels within the enrollment management team on any type of recruitment visits or events.
- Participate in recruitment marketing initiatives, staff meetings, and any campus-based enrollment management activities.
- When required, work closely with all academic departments, financial services, registrar office and residence life personnel.
- Be able to attend all CRM training sessions, and any type of enrollment management educational workshops.
- Must be able to utilize data, statistics, analytics and any admissions management information to manage the entire enrollment pipeline
- Be able to support all enrollment management operational aspects
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited institution
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel and work flexible hours including evening and weekends.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- The ability to learn and utilize a CRM System
- Self-Motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team of admissions professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous professional or student employment experience in Admissions.
- Previous experience working with Higher Education Solution Software, such as Slate or Banner
