Position Summary:
KPC’s Admissions Counselor represents Kenai Peninsula College both on- and off-campus in a variety of outreach and community engagement activities. This position initiates and nurtures relationships with prospective students, counselors, teachers, administrators, as well as tribal and other community organizations that serve and employ prospective students. This position is a member of the Student Services department and works closely with internal offices including Academic Advising, Admissions & Registration, Disability Support Services, Financial Aid, Learning Center, Residence Life, Testing Center, Veterans Services and other support services and faculty to assist prospective KPC students with their transition into KPC programs and courses.Duties:
Preferred:
- Associate degree and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience in admissions and/or recruitment, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience in planning, designing and/or presenting workshops and/or training sessions.
- Associate degree and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Unrestricted Alaska driver's license or be able to obtain an unrestricted Alaska driver's license within 60 days of accepting the job.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt staff position beginning in May 2023, complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.

KRC Info: This position will be located at the Kenai River Campus situated on 309 acres along the banks of the beautiful Kenai River, the ancestral homelands of the Dena'ina Athabascan, Ahtna Athabascan, Alutiiq/Sugpiaq and Eyak peoples. The area is known for its wildlife splendor, mountain viewscapes, world- class fishing and hunting, hiking, canoe trails and winter outdoor adventure. And yet, Anchorage, Alaska's largest city is just a 2.5-hour drive or 20-minute flight away.
KPC offers two-year Associates of Arts and Associates of Applied Science degrees, as well as courses leading to occupational certifications and UAA baccalaureate degrees, such as Psychology, Art and Anthropology. The college has 24 full-time faculty, 55+ staff, 15+ student employees, and 65+ part-time faculty each semester. KPC enrolls more than 1,800 students/semester.
