AM & PM Line Cook FULL TIME
Balsam Mountain Preserve is seeking an AM and PM Line Cooks.
We’re a private golf club, located on a beautiful nature preserve in Sylva, NC. Open year-round, although summer is significantly busier. This position may be attractive to individuals who enjoy a slower working environment with fewer hours in the winter months to pursue other interests.
In our kitchen we foster a positive work environment and provide consecutive days off. We are a small crew that enjoys creating delicious food and having fun. Our focus is that we all learn and grow together, through respect and hard work.
AM LINE COOK
The AM line cook would focus on a set menu highlighting upscale bar food, with weekly chef specials that would be planned and executed by the individual. Our ideal candidate has experience preparing and executing lunchtime orders in a timely manner. 2 Years Previous cooking experience with a Serv-Safe certification is preferred. This position is ideal for someone who is creative and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
Workdays and Hours:
Wednesday - Saturday: 9:00 am- 5:00 pm (Lunch)
Sunday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (Brunch)
PM LINE COOK
The PM line cook would focus on a set causal menu for Wednesday and Thursday, and an upscale weekly changing menu for Friday and Saturday evenings, including weekly chef specials that would be planned and executed by the individual. Our ideal candidate has experience preparing high-end salads, hot/cold appetizers, and desserts. We are an upscale fine dining restaurant that will go above and beyond to keep our members happy. 2 Years Previous cooking experience with a Serv-Safe certification is preferred. This position is ideal for someone who is creative and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
Workdays and Hours:
Wednesday - Saturday: 1:00 pm- 9:00 pm (Dinner)
Some Sunday Brunch shifts maybe required.

Benefits
After 90 days of continuous employment, you will qualify for 85% employer-paid health, dental and vision benefits, life Insurance, employee discounts, flexible schedule, paid training, 10 day’s paid vacation per year, and on the one-year anniversary of your hire date you will be eligible for a 401K.
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
