JOB SUMMARY: The Regional Accounts Trainer is responsible for planning and conducting in-service training and educational programs for Regional Patient Accounts personnel. The scope includes: New Hire and remedial training with specific emphasis on in-depth system training to ensure maximum efficiency with the billing systems. Reviews, seeks management input and trains Patient Accounts policies and procedures. Conducts self-audits for adherence to the policies. Disseminates and effectively trains all new and revised training initiatives originating in the Monthly Regional Trainer Committee meeting. Applications utilized are: Accurint, MS Excel, GPMS, Master Database, NextGen, OBR, OnBase, Power Point and Snag-It.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and conducts in-service training and educational programs to target specific needs. Collaborates with Regional Director, Business Systems Manager and staff to deliver effective integrated training solutions.
  • Focuses on using functional knowledge and MedSuite system expertise to improve business operations to meet changing business requirements.
  • Trains all New Hire Central Business Office personnel with checklist sign off.
  • Regularly schedules training sessions for all Central Business Office personnel.
  • Creates and administers training courses on MS Word, Excel, and any other software programs useful to the staff.
  • Integrates specific policies, procedures, and standards into training manuals and materials that teaches staff how to apply Billing and Collections software to specific business processes.
  • Develops and maintains training manuals up to date as well as checklist of materials trained for Associate signature.
  • Collaborates with Business Systems personnel to establish a reliable, flexible, and cost-effective training process improvement, as new information and technology projects are implemented.
  • Performs comprehensive task-based analyses that can be used to develop new long term and short term training programs or improve those that exist.
  • Completes special projects as assigned, such as: Billing and Collections software analysis, and acts as a general resource to Central Business Office departments on training issues.
  • Attends professional meetings, seminars, and conferences to maintain knowledge, to implement and customize an effective training program.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Company policies.[Any patient private health information (PHI) must not be divulged on any account except to payers that need the information in order to process the claim for payment.]
  • Presents a positive, professional appearance and conveys a professional demeanor in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Performs other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by Management.
  • Conducts all business in a professional manner maintaining respect for individuals at all times and embodies the principles of the Corporate Mission Statement and Philosophy at all times while representing the Corporation in a positive fashion and making all individuals feel as comfortable as possible.
  • Complies with departmental and company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Maintains constant awareness of potential safety hazards insuring necessary safety precautions.
  • Reads and complies with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Master Database, Imaging and MedSuite.
