This role in summary
Work in a collaborative environment to develop the next generation of connected appliances. Develop embedded Software solutions for IOT and HMIs, SDKs, open source libraries and operating systems (RTOS).
While this position does offer remote work opportunity, the candidate must live within a commutable distance to Chicago or Southwest Michigan to be available for as needed collaboration with the team.
Your responsibilities will include
- Daily activities in software life cycle, translate requirements into software functional specifications to product level testing, including software design, implementation and unit testing
- Software and firmware development
- Actively join Design Reviews, conduct peer reviews, and provide meaningful feedback for other team members
- Create and execute Unit Tests
- Document Software Design and implementation
- Release software for validation and production
- Contribute on the development process from the technical design and architecture to the implementation and maintenance
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or Mechatronics
- 2+ Years of Experience in android Development
- 2+ Years of experience with Java Development
Preferred skills and experiences
- MSC on Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or other correlated area
- Experience with a variety of coding languages and paradigms, including C++, Java, JavaScript Python, and Shell Script, UML / SysML and modeling languages
- Knowledge of oriented object programming
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, operating systems, etc.

Additional information
Employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in-person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely
