Tzadik Management is seeking for an experienced and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to preserving the good condition and functionality of our multifamily properties. Candidates must have proven maintenance experience, strong technical and problem-solving skills and be able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and take pride in their work.

Responsibilities

• Managing maintenance requests
• Inspecting the building for structural damage
• Conducting routine maintenance on equipment and systems
• Completing the make-ready process of vacant apartments
• Scheduling and completing the "Preventative Maintenance Program"
• Carrying cell phones as required for on-call maintenance
• Monitoring and maintaining all building systems
• Alerting the Property Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage
• Repairing/replacing appliances, plumbing systems, air conditioning/heating/electrical systems
• Assisting with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, etc.
• Maintaining a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
• Ensuring safety standards are used

Qualifications

• Knowledge of air conditioning units, plumbing systems and electrical wiring
• Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance requests
• Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail, work ethic, and communication skills
• Advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.

Education, Training, and Qualifications

• At least 3 years of general maintenance experience
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and outlook
• Experience with any property management software
• Must have freon recovery certification, a certified apartment service technician (CAMT) is preferred.
• Must have certifications in boilers, plumbing, HVAC, journeyman license, use of fire extinguishers, and first aid.
• Must have training in compressor diagnosis, appliance repair, etc.
• Must have certifications/permits required by the city or state to perform job responsibilities.
• Must have carpentry skills
• Must have a valid driver's License

Physical Requirements: Employees must be able to walk, stand, use hands, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl, work outside in all weather conditions, and can occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
