Artwork Coordinator – 12 month contract
The primary role of the Artwork Co-Ordinator is the management of all artwork changes and new pack launches from change initiation to commercial production. This role is based in our site in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
This role will accommodate a hybrid working model.
In this role you will…
- Co-ordinating and completing externally requested artwork changes through to production date on time and in full
- Co-ordination of Market sample requests for packed product
- Updating Artwork Management system to support dual sourcing with Alternate Suppliers
- Competent and trained to raise and bring to closure PK notifications in MERP as part of artwork change and new pack launch
- Competent and trained in CHAMPS artwork management system for the creation and approval of artworks in the system technically aligned to Dungarvan WOW
- Competent and trained in CH Pack system for creation and approval of component codes in the specification database
- Complete artwork technical inspections for all new packaging components to ensure the correct market request has been fulfilled and the technical aspects of the packaging are suitable for production purposes
- Liaising with site regulatory for all artwork changes and new pack launches outside of the Artwork Management system
- Maintaining the Artwork Library for Non-Artwork Management System Artworks
- Archiving of artworks
- Ownership of the obsoletion process for revised components and replacement SKUs
- Be competent in raising and maintaining Purchase Orders for artwork related charges
- Assessing component write-offs and recharging market at the earliest opportunity
- Competent in completing Dispositions for in house remnant components and stock
- Liaising with suppliers on remnant component stock
- Have experience with artwork issues that arise ensuring they resolved with excellent communication with the value stream and the markets.
- Support Artwork Performance Management Meetings
- Support delivery Site and Category Projects where artwork changes or new pack launches are required
- Support all Quality Metrics associated with artwork processes on time and in full
Why you?
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of Leaving Certificate
- Experience in the area of Customer Service
- At least 1 year experience in an artwork function
- Strong systems knowledge – namely around Excel Macros and BI Reporting
- Strong Continuous Improvement Mindset
- Examples of Appropriate management of issues and escalation where required.
- Excellent working knowledge of MERP to ensure a smooth change management process for PK notifications.
- Working knowledge of CHAMPS Artwork Process for Pack Change and New Pack Activity.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Third level qualification or diploma in Packaging Technology.
- Previous experience in a scheduling function in a Manufacturing Facility.
- Execution of Artwork Process for Pack Change and New Pack Activity.
- Appropriate management of all artwork issues and escalation where required.
- Excellent working knowledge of MERP, Artwork Management Systems to ensure a smooth change management process.
