General Statement of Duties:
Reporting to the Bursar, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services will service students through cross-functional responsibilities in the offices of Admissions, Bursar, Financial Aid and the Registrar. This position will be responsible for back office student service functions in each office as well as student interaction and communication.
Responsibilities:- Financial aid verification procedures
- Graduation certification
- Bursar support
- Provide support to the admissions team through outreach to prospective first-year, transfer and graduate students at all points of the application cycle (incomplete, admitted, deposited);
- Assist applicants in a seamless transition from admitted to enrolled; secure missing and/or final documents; remove barriers for new and returning students to ensure a seamless registration and tuition payment process;
- Ability to forecast and anticipate the next steps in the student lifecycle, alert students to upcoming deadlines and quickly identify potential issues and work with management to address streamline or automate processes as needed
- Assist with/staff virtual and in-person events for prospective and current students including but not limited to information sessions, open house, financial aid workshops, etc.
- Communications with students via in-person, phone, virtual communications, etc.
- Any duties as assigned by supervisor
This position can spend time based at either the NYC or Long Island campuses and may be eligible for some remote work. This position may require some night and/or weekend hours.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree- Experience with a student information system is preferred; knowledge of PeopleSoft is a plus; must be proficient in MS Office;
- Strong communication and organizational skills along with the ability to work under pressure and multi-task; exceptional customer service skills, strong attention to detail and analytical skills
