Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a charasmatic individual to join our award winning 5 star proprerty in the heart of County Laois.

The main duties include (but are not limited to):

• To communicate effectively with your team members, promoting good working relationships and creating a positive working environment and culture.
• Responsible for assessing staffing requirements and completing the rosters adequately and fairly to ensure we are appropriately staffed to meet all operational and guest requirements
• To deliver training to team members to ensure they are aware of the standard operating procedures and ensure they can deliver 5-star service
• To anticipate guests needs in order to enhance quality service and in turn enhance client experience
• To ensure you are up to date on the daily menus and wine offerings to ensure you can make suitable recommendations and answer any guest questions and queries
• To keep traceability of all the beverages, make sure they are posted onto the proper room and to ensure the equipment is controlled and properly used
• Complete stocktakes as and when required
• Ensure the restaurant is set (assist where required) and the appropriate plates/crockery etc are available and polished
• Make sure all menus and wine lists are up to date, in good order and priced correctly showing the correct grammar and presentation.
• To work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager in achieving required targets.
• To attend daily operational meetings and conduct daily team briefings with your team members

Qualifications

Desired Experience / Attributes:

• Fluent English with Strong Communication skills
• Professional, well-groomed and presentable
• Excellent knowledge of food & beverage including knowledge of wine/whiskey/Cocktails
• A personable, charismatic and well-rounded hotelier preferably with supervisory & leadership experience within a luxury hotel background
• A culture creator that understands the importance and value of people and how to create a workplace where our people are of equal value as our guests
• A great team player that can motivate and lead staff members
