About the role

The APEM Project Management Office is responsible for supporting divisions and central functions in the delivery of our client projects and strategic initiatives. The Assistant Project Manager will report into the PMO from a standards perspective but be embedded within the APEM Ireland division to support delivery of client projects.

The purpose of the Assistant Project Manager role is to work closely with APEM Ireland’s project managers, project directors and project teams to ensure that assigned projects, programmes or frameworks are delivered within time, to cost and quality constraints, while adhering to project management best practice.

About you

You will have experience of working in project administration or a relevant PMO role with an excellent track record of supporting delivery on a range of projects, both big and small, ideally within a professional services organisation.

You will be incredibly organised, able to spin many plates and manage competing demands with ease – you must be able to manage your time effectively to ensure you can deliver to project deadlines.

You will have a keen attention to detail and ability to interpret and analyse data and information – good Excel and IT skills are key.

Every project can be different, so you must be comfortable working in new and uncertain environments, be flexible and ready to get stuck in!

An environmental background is not essential, but an interest in ecology and environmental issues would be welcomed.
