Job Summary
At Woodlands Tree House Preschool, we are committed to bringing the highest quality early childhood and Kinder academic enrichment to our children and their families. Our passionate teachers offer children a rich environment that promotes independence, social skills, emotional well being and a love of learning. Our programs include age-appropriate academics, classes in English and Spanish, social and emotional development, creativity through art and music, and imagination. We are committed to creating a safe, secure and healthy learning environment, where all children will be nurtured by highly experienced, loving and dedicated teachers. Our Preschool and Kindergarten teachers work with children ranging in age from 18 months-5 years old.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for the safety of all children in the group
- Provide a structured academic setting to ensure students are kinder/First Grade ready when leaving the program
- Plan and implement activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of all children
- Responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, and developmental activities
- Communicates directly with parents as to daily reporting
- Maintain classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness to comply with state regulations and standards
- Demonstrates skills in early childhood curriculum and implementation
- Actively engage with the children at all times
- Provide a loving and nurturing environment for all children
- Create and follow lesson plans
- Develop children’s self-esteem
- Maintain an environment (both indoors and outdoors) that is safe, clean, and inviting
Qualifications and Skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- High School Graduate
- 2 years experience in childcare required
- Must meet or exceed state licensing requirements
- Ability to work on a Team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours
- Ability to work on feet for long periods of time and lift at least 25 pounds
- Proficient in writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to verbally communicate with other employees and parents respectfully
- Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards
