Associate Director - Inpatient and Triage

Compass Health is currently looking for an Associate Director of Nursing- Inpatient and Triage!

What you will be performing

The Associate Director oversees and directs systems and services for the Evaluation and Treatment Center and Triage Centers. This position is responsible for all related clinical and nursing services, management of all human and financial resources, ensuring that quality services and quality improvement take place in an efficient and timely manner, and establishing and maintaining effective working relations with all systems of care. This position has primary responsibility for supervision and support of the Program Manager(s)/Clinical Nurse Manager(s) in these programs; coordinating with Medical Team leadership regarding the smooth operation of the units; and providing after hours back-up and support to the manager-on-call rotation.

In addition this position will provide clinical oversight to nursing staff in other departments within the organization, in partnership with program management and other directors.

• Develops service objectives and designs use of resources to accomplish objectives, under the guidance of the Director.
• Ensures that program services are accessible in a non-discriminatory manner and at times and locations which facilitate utilization of services.
• Ensures that all services provided within the area of responsibility meet the established standards of care.
• Ensures provision of services is in accordance with requirements of organization, and all regulatory bodies and payers.
• Ensures productivity and clinical standards are met by clinical staff.
• Ensures utilization management of services appropriate to the model(s) of care in that program.
• Ensures adequate shift coverage and provides support to all applicable programs at all times.
• May on occasion be required to provide direct nursing care to clients.
• Provides appropriate administrative and clinical supervision and consultation to workforce members to include regular performance evaluation, coaching, and any necessary performance improvement actions.

What you will bring with you

• BSN Degree or equivalent required. Advanced degree in nursing or healthcare field preferred.
• Current RN license and the ability to practice in the State of Washington.
• Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC.
• 5+ years direct nursing experience in a behavioral health care setting, in-patient preferred
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience, behavioral health setting preferred.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License including vehicle and appropriate insurance.

• Ability to evaluate system dynamics and opportunities to position programs and Compass Health in such a way as to facilitate program and agency growth and development.
• Demonstrated understanding of team dynamics and the ability to develop a healthy, positive work environment.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
