- Hybrid: This position has the opportunity to be hybrid. At times, your position may require a flexible schedule that could include some weekend and evening work. This will be part time flex with a target of 16 hours per week.

- This role is covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with SAG-AFTRA and comes with a minimum pay rate of $35.00 per hour, and can go up based on experience and internal equity.
The Opportunity and Who You’ll Work With:
Cognoscenti is WBUR’s ideas and opinion vertical, and celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022. Cognoscenti has published more than 1200 authors and works to represent new and emerging voices.
As the Associate Producer, Cognoscenti, WBUR’s ideas and opinion vertical, yours is a key editorial role in the WBUR newsroom, working closely with our Senior Editor, Cognoscenti and Editors, Cognoscenti to produce and edit essays, commentaries and other opinion content. You may commission contributions and edit essays, which includes digital production such as writing headlines, photo processing, and publishing.
You will also collaborate closely with the Cognoscenti team to develop opinion content across a myriad of platforms, including broadcast and digital audio, video, text, photography; socialmedia and newsletters. You should be collaborative and able to work across subject-matter teams.
Required Skills
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant experience
- 3-5 years of related experience in journalism
