Position Description:

The University of Louisville Department of Medicine Division of General Internal Medicine, Palliative Medicine, and Medical Education has a wonderful opportunity for a full-time physician with an interest in academic palliative medicine.� Responsibilities include a mix of clinical care, education, or clinical research opportunities within an academic setting. Primary clinical responsibilities include staffing our inpatient consultation service at our 300-bed University Hospital along with outpatient clinics in a teaching setting.� The physician will work with an established team of individuals - a palliative medicine fellow; a full-time chaplain, a psychologist, a nurse practitioner; house staff, and students. Candidates should be BC/BE in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Candidates who have completed fellowships in Palliative Medicine are preferred.�Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.� Board Eligible will come in as an Instructor Term and be promoted to Assistant Professor Term when boards are passed.� Board Certified will come in as Assistant or Associate Professor Term depending on qualifications.
