The Role

Role Brief

The successful candidate will be responsible for PLC Engineering (OEM – Siemens) and be aligned to a new and exciting project. The project will be circa 9 months and with SL Controls extensive client base there is a strong possibility of additional projects being available thereafter.
You will also work to understand and interrogate on the interface to a DeltaV system. Other responsibilities in the role will include documentation generation, supporting FATs and SATs and system start up support.

Skills Brief

• The candidate must have experience with Siemens PLC systems
• Knowledge in PLC and HMI programming of Siemens control systems
• Some understanding of DeltaV would be an advantage but strong Siemens focused PLC Engineers without DeltaV experience will be considered
• Experience in the validation of automated processes for medical devices or pharmaceuticals
• Document generation experience in a GMP environment is essential
• Experience supporting FATs and SATs
• Start up support experience

Person Brief

Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in mechatronics, software development, electrical, electronic or automation discipline, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, blue chip or relevant GMP manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong problem skills.
The role is based in Co. Meath and will be at least 4 days a week onsite, at times 5 days a week onsite. Therefore, you must live within a reasonable commutable distance of the site.
