Accounting Clerk Job Description:
The Huffines Accounting associate performs financial and accounting functions for the company, including accounts receivable and financial reports requiring strong skills in problem-solving, documentation, research, and financial data analysis.
Accounting Clerk Job Responsibilities:
- Verifies, allocates, and posts transactions into proper journals and ensures transaction backup documents are properly maintained
- Maintains an adequate system of accounting records and develops periodic financial reports that comply with generally accepted accounting principles
- Oversees vendor management and outsourcing
- Maintains accounts payable/receivable
- Completes daily deposit
- Maintains and orders supplies
- Manages and reconciles petty cash
- Performs other duties as assigned
Accounting Clerk Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years experience in automotive dealership accounting
- Detail-oriented and good with numbers
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Fluent English speaking and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position
