Tilton Automotive, a family-owned, growth-oriented auto repair shop in Belchertown, MA is hiring an Experienced
Automotive Technician. We are expanding and are looking to add a good/new/experienced technician to our team

About you:

  • Previous experience as an automotive technician (ASE certified preferred).
  • Valid Driver’s License and have good driving record.
  • Dependable, punctual, and good attendance.
  • Honest, and always fair to both clients and company.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Positive team member and works well with a team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic equipment.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Organized and clean.
  • Must be coachable and willing to follow our company’s policies and procedures.
  • Have own tools. We have a scan tool, lab scope and some specialty equipment.

Major job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Perform repair work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with industry standards.
  • Test-drive vehicles, perform digital visual inspections, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Perform emissions repairs so that vehicles comply with state emissions requirements/standards.
  • Basic maintenance from oil changes and fluid services up to the occasional engine or transmission replacement.
