We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Esthetician/Front Desk Assistant to join our growing salon team. As an Esthetician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch skincare and beauty treatments to our clients, while as a Front Desk Assistant, you will be responsible for greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling phone inquiries. You will be expected to assist with Front Desk when not providing services. All products necessary to complete facial and waxing services are provided by salon. We currently have a small following of facial clientele but a large hair service clientele of potential facial guests. As your services increase, position may shift away from front desk and primarily focus on services.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive ready to serve, with a smile. Be an example of beauty, adhere to makeup and clothing/dress code guidelines.
• Provide a range of esthetic services, including facials, waxing, makeup, and other skincare treatments, while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
• Great personality; personal, forth-coming, kind-hearted, caring, and great listener.
• Offer solutions and product recommendations for skin concerns. Educate clients on proper skincare techniques and recommend products to help them maintain healthy and glowing skin.
• Familiarize self with all Aveda retail products to assist guests with purchase recommendations.
• Answer phone and take appointments and/or messages.
• Help with overall flow and cleanliness of the salon. Ensure that the salon runs smoothly and efficiently by coordinating with other staff members and addressing any issues that arise.
• Greet clients and checkout.
• Take deposits for services.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest beauty trends and techniques to offer clients the best possible service.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and follow safety and sanitation protocols to ensure the safety of clients and staff.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid esthetician license in the state where the salon is located.
• Experience with Aveda products is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
• Comfortable using salon management software and other computer programs.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.

This position is part time (2-3 days/week | 16-22 hours) but has potential for full time hours in the future.
