Job description

The Azure Backend Developer is needed to help with the data structure setup, data transformation, building data models for developing BI reports, and for providing insights to improve decision-making. The role of this Azure Backe-end Developer requires him/her to have a wide knowledge of business intelligence, data integration, data warehousing, modeling, database, and technical aspects of Azure Data Factory, Azure Warehouse, Azure Data Lakes and BI tools.
Key Responsibilities and Critical Success Measures

 Use Azure Data Factory to move/transform data by creating proper Pipelines and Dataflows
 Identify areas to improve and scale our Azure architecture and application design
 Design and query database tables, views, functions, stored procedures and batch processes
 Develop, implement, and support interfaces that connect our websites, back-end systems, and various 3rd party cloud solutions, vendors and customers.
 Engage with business partners to gather information, analyze requirements and deliver practical, efficient and cost-effective solutions that satisfy business needs.
 Write product specifications and design documentation for assigned system components.
 Design, develop and/or review complex code or configurations to ensure solutions meet the requirements of functional and technical specifications.
 Develop and/or review project technical architecture design and development. Solutions may include but are not limited to the development of various types of applications, web, mobile app, full stack or integrations hosted on data centers or in the cloud.
 Contribute to data quality framework.
 Contribute to proof-of-concept efforts in Advanced Data Analytics solutions like Predictive modeling, Machine Learning, etc.
 Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
 Participate in establishing system documentation standards and QA methodologies.
 Make essential technical and strategic changes to improve present business intelligence systems
 Provide IT teams and business personnel with technology solutions by weighing advantages of technology trends, market availability of products, risks and benefits of technology to meet business/IT needs. Participate in IT architecture review and standards setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 Bachelor's degree (ex: Computer Science or related discipline)
 3+ years of Microsoft Azure experience
 3+ year experience building and maintaining data pipelines in Azure Data Factory
 Minimum of 5 years of RDBMS and not Relational DB experience
 Knowledge of ETL tools like MS SSIS.
