Overview:
As a Battery Cell Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans and procedures for battery cell products. You will work closely with a team of engineers to analyze battery cell performance, provide recommendations for improvement, and identify potential design issues. Additionally, you will help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the cell selection and performance of battery cells.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures for battery cell products
  • Analyze and interpret data collected during testing to evaluate performance and identify potential design issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend improvements to battery cell products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the manufacturing and performance of battery cells
  • Develop and maintain test equipment and facilities to support battery cell testing
  • Contribute to the development of new battery cell products and technologies
  • Communicate test results and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in battery cell testing and evaluation
  • Strong understanding of battery cell chemistry and electrochemical testing methods
  • Experience with battery cell manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Abrin and Novonix cell cyclers and control software
  • Experience with lithium-ion battery cell technology and testing
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to battery cell testing and evaluation
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Effectively communicate and work cross-functionally with all disciplines
Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
