Job description
The Behavioral Health Coordinator will provide clinic reception, patient appointment scheduling, referral administration/information, registration, medical record maintenance, and other clerical support services. This position works with patients of all ages, primarily adults.
Regions Behavioral Health clinics provide assessment and treatment of mental health and chemical dependency problems at several metropolitan offices. Our professional staff is highly skilled in caring for patients of all ages and is dedicated to serving their special needs and concerns. Relationship building skills are essential, as our model is strongly based in collaborative care among disciplines, both within our clinic and with primary care. We value a commitment to teamwork, training and evidence-based care.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two years’ experience in a position interacting with the public using telephones and computers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service skills (internal and external customers).
- Expertise in the use of computer, phone system and other office machines, as applicable to position.
- Knowledge of all policies, procedures and regulations relating to position and clinic assignment.
- Ability to respond to telephone calls and customer requests systematically and skillfully.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to give precise attention to details in a distracting environment.
