Catering- Marketing Manager

The key focus areas of this role are tied to developing your capacity to deliver a great customerexperience via phone & email interactions. As well as managing our online marketing presence (social media and google ad words). This can have a large virtual work component but will require office time to ensure catering set ups are set and some in person catering when staffing requires it. This position is the first contact with our catering customers, our first impression.

Accountabilities of a Business Development Manager:

• Presence with open availability on scheduled days for up to 40+ hours per week in busy season with ability to go to catering events as well as book them.
• Ensure phones/emails are answered within 1 hour or less response time.
• Manage workflow of customer inbound catering interest and inquires through email exchanges, quotes, questionnaires, and invoices through our CRM system.
• Responsible for CRM maintenance
• Manage event calendar, all operations, and logistics for events.
• Point of contact for all catering staff regarding event details, questions, or concerns
• Manage all catering documents to ensure information is up-to-date and accurate, via Company Database & CRM system.
• Coordinate direct email marketing & in-person meetings.
• Prepare client folders used to track events through all stages (including printouts of all paperwork and directions, menus, and site information)
• Supervise the implementation of and adherence to all policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain accounting records of all catering payments and tips.
• Work with HR manager on staff event scheduling and ensuring proper hours recorded.
• Work with management on having all proper supplies ordered for events.
• Maintain and ensure proper cleaning of all catering equipment and supplies.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Full-Time Hours during busy season, with part time options during off season.
• $20 Hourly Rate with tips. Events manager books, but does not attend will get a 20% of the full tip. Events manager books and attends will get full tip (unless event is multiple staff then they will get their 20% of entire and then equal split of the remainder with the other staff).

Ben & Jerry Team Member Qualifications:

• Ability to be flexible on days work based off event calendar
• Have a valid driver license.
• This position is a driving position and employment is contingent on successful completion of a drivers licenses background check.
• Be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
• Be able to push, pull, lift and carry 20lbs without assistance.
• Be able to provide respectful customer service.
• Open Flexibility: able to work Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays
• Work Authorization
• Must be able to communicate with customers who speak only English.
• Previous leadership role preferred.
• Previous marketing experience
• Previous experience using salesforce or application like it preferred.
• Able to handle high stress situations.
• 18 years or older
• High school diploma
• Must have valid food safety certificate within 1 month of employment.
