Job Summary

Looking for a research laboratory technician to work in hematology, cardiology, and immunology research. For more details, see our lab website: https://medicine.stonybrookmedicine.edu/medicine/hematology/faculty/zhan-lab

This position will provide unique training experience in both in vitro and in vivo assay systems to study normal and neoplastic hematopoiesis, cardiovascular diseases, and immune modulation. There will also be opportunities for career development training and mentorship to help the candidate progress his/her career in biomedical research.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Performing routine molecular biology procedures, including PCR, cell culture, isolation of cells from tissues, flow cytometry, etc.

- Maintaining transgenic mouse lines (e.g., blood collection, genotype).

- Laboratory management (ordering, aliquoting, organization, etc)
