What you’ll be able to do:

Vehicle Personalization is a self-contained business unit within Ford Customer Service Division responsible for creating trending accessories and specialty vehicles for Ford Motor Company installed at factory, mod-centers or dealerships.

  • Lead the development of business cases, cost/feasibility/timing analysis, program timing plans to Vehicle Personalization Product Development System (VPPDS) key milestone dates, program direction forms and sourcing documentation
  • Support key milestone deliverables in VPPDS from Program Start to Program Approval
  • Lead cross-functional Cost, Feasibility & Timing (CFT) evaluation for Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Quality
  • Manage business case content development, program timing and financial approvals for production and dealer channel accessory programs
  • Analyze financial, engineering and manufacturing data to ensure financial viability of programs prior to approval. (Including program content, timing, financials, etc.)
  • Identification and resolution of program and business case issues (i.e. Company Financial Targets, Timing, Feasibility etc.)
  • Ensure smooth business case transition from the Business Group to Planning / Program Management
  • Interface with Senior Management, Purchasing, Finance, Market Areas and other Global Regions
  • Lead CFT Input / Output Meetings
  • Complete the Color & Materials Form
  • Collect CFT inputs from Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing
  • Create Program Timelines & Approvals
  • Create Sourcing Document (obtain Purchasing signature)
  • Create Vehicle Line 2-pager form (as needed)
  • Hand-off to Vehicle Line Planner Completed BC, Sourcing Document, Timing Plan and 2-pager

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 3-5+ years of professional work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong PC skills with experience in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Our preferred requirements:

  • Automotive industry experience preferred
  • Experience with business case development including financial analytics
  • Project / Program Management Skills with a strength in balancing multiple projects
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Understanding of GPDS
  • Knowledge and understanding of automotive aftermarket
  • Technical knowledge of a vehicle (exterior and interior)
