Business Development Manager - Remote/Home-Based -
Territory in Mansfield/Ashland, and/or Eastern Ohio Area

Purpose The Business Development Manager is responsible for the sale of the organization's product, while providing ongoing customer support and training to the assigned accounts in a specific territory, major geographical area and/or ecommerce.
Essential Job Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Implements and executes Tech’s sales, policies, practices and promotions through direct sales as well as the promotion of e-commerce.
  • Works in assigned territory by visiting shops, taking customer orders, promoting new products, and reviewing new programs.
  • Cold call all unserved shops in assigned territory and set up new accounts.
  • Promote live training for shops in assigned territory, on-line, on site and at Tech training facility to customers and include local distributors when possible.
  • Ensure all accounts are invoiced correctly
  • Collect payment for all C.O.D. customers, either credit card, cash or check.
  • Make all required daily deposits of cash and checks
  • Deliver and promote training. Help the technicians with hands-on training by being confident in the fundamentals of tire and wheel service.
  • Assists at trade shows where necessary.
  • Provides suggestions of process improvement opportunities for Tech.
  • Responsible for collecting and forwarding competitive information.
  • Responsible for quarterly training sessions with customers within territory.
  • Submit all necessary reporting accurately and on time.
Supervision

No employee supervision responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
Associates’ Degree and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training in the tire/rubber industry or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; E-mail software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Valid driver's license.
