Through a combination of in-depth subject matter expertise, global research capabilities and flexible technology tools, the Compliance Risk and Diligence practice helps clients take a risk-based approach toward meeting obligations or remediating failures regarding anti-bribery, anti-corruption and related regulatory mandates. These include pre-transactional intelligence; vendor, supplier and distributor due diligence; vendor management platform; leadership/executive vetting; sanctions screening and monitoring; country/industry risk; and bespoke inquiries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Business Development Manager II, Compliance Risk and Diligence, will contribute to the growth of the Compliance Risk and Diligence (CRD) practice by providing a suite of best-in-class services and solutions to our target companies. The candidate is expected to work independently within a team dynamic and, through commercial success, maximize earnings potential in the form of an attractive incentive plan.
- Engage in self-driven business development to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets. The focus is to acquire new clients and drive revenue through the sale of Kroll’s Compliance’s products and solutions across both the Corporate and Financial services sectors.
- Build strong client relationships based on trust and confidence, and always ensure top quality service is delivered within the expected timeline and budget.
- Achieve a revenue target of $750K-2.5M
- Robust use of Salesforce to record meetings, activity, opportunities, and forecasting revenue.
- Develop territory plan to identify sales strategies, assess revenue potential, and outline targeted activities to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Demonstrate leadership by collaboratively engaging Kroll’s senior management team to lend support to business development objectives with influential individuals and high-level decision makers in the client base.
- Cold call, email campaigns, and social media selling to secure client appointments, gather information on customer needs, position and prove out Kroll CRD’s products to solve customer business issues, overcome objections, and with Business Development Director, negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Kroll CRD products, pricing, administrative procedures, and organization to effectively answer clients’ questions or implement solutions in a timely fashion.
- Maintain a current understanding of competitors’ offerings and effectively sell the advantages of Kroll CRD offerings over those offered by competitors.
- Work closely in a team environment including research colleagues, technical and sales support to gain proficiency in presenting and proposing the whole range of Kroll CRD solutions, while managing client expectations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 4+ years of relevant business development work experience selling professional services in a B2B environment, ideally in the Compliance industry or where professional services have formed the focus of the transaction.
- BS/BA or equivalent in Business or Marketing or relevant commercial experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication, a consultative/advisory approach, as well an ability to prioritize tasks through strong organizational and time management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Salesforce (or other CRM System).
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
- Enthusiasm, passion and a commitment to mutually successful outcomes for the client and Kroll are a must.

The current California salary range for this position is $90,000 - $200,000
